Outreach Overview
The Illinois Tollway is committed to increased transparency, public involvement and engaging stakeholders. By engaging the public the Tollway is able to improving transportation and better serve the region by welcoming public participation in discussions about current and future plans of the Tollway.
In 2015, Tollway personnel participated in more than 350 events. That means on any given day, there is a good chance you will find a Tollway employee
- Meeting one-on-one with local communities, residents and businesses
- Networking with representatives of small diverse and veteran-owned firms
- Hosting workshops to help businesses of all sizes and types work with the Tollway
- Promoting employment opportunities at our job fairs
Current planning and community outreach efforts are focused on the Illinois Tollway's I-90 Corridor, the Illinois Route 53/120 Corridor, the Elgin O'Hare Western Access Project and the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Corridor. By engaging stakeholders and the communities the Tollway serves, the agency is welcoming public participation in discussions about capital planning needs for the Tollway and improving transportation for the region as part of the Tollway's Move Illinois Program.
